P.O.D. - Bringing Gamers Back To LAN
A LAN Party is defined by Wikipedia as “a gathering of people with computers or compatible game consoles, where a local area network (LAN) connection is established between the devices using a router or switch, primarily for the purpose of playing multiplayer video games together”
Fragapalooza at its core is and will always be a LAN Party put on by Gamers for Gamers; a place where the gaming community can come together to game, share experiences, have fun times, and make lasting memories.
Fragapalooza’s Hybrid Venture Showcase is the first step in taking us back to that large LAN Party, but starting out small for 2022. Bring on the PODs (Put on Display - still working on that acronym), small LAN Parties connected virtually to the hub at Fragapalooza. We are looking to foster that social community interaction through a POD (Play on Demand - hmmm still not right) of your own design.
Put those people you feel most comfortable with in the same location, hook them up in your POD (People of Discord - better we think), and join Fragapalooza for our Hybrid Venture Showcase. We’ll get some fun events going between all the PODs (Players of DeGames - ha, may have it there) remote and local; can even share your setup with the showcase live on Twitch should you desire.
Let's take this opportunity to go back to Fragapalooza’s grassroots. Name your POD (People of DeGames - so close!), Register your POD (Peeps of DeGames - there it is!) and join us August 4-7, 2022 to play some games!
