Well gee, lets see, ATI has those classic drivers issues. which I don't really like. and for some reason people tell me their cards can be slower than nVidia's.

On the flip side ATI actually releases video cards, I don't knbow what nVidia releases but it's not video cards. I was going to guy a GF FX but they waited to long and I had other things to buy, so I said screw it and spent the money somewhere else. Personally, nVidia is screwing up BIG time in my mind.

I would agree that ATI used to have driver issues but in the last year they have really done a great job: frequent driver releases, more performance, more features... overall great experience...

Personally I have never had any real driver issues... there were a few times that there were artifacts in brand new games... but they were soon fixed...

Although my interest might be slightly bias... I am a shareholder... LOL

ATI would be my favorite. ATI has had its problems in the past, but I would have to say that they have fixed most of their old problems. NVIDIA on the other hand has done next to nothing to try and improve it's self.

I also like to support Canadian companies. :-)

Ive been an ATI Fan right from the start, yes they have had driver problems, but for id say the last 2 years they have been great. ATI still even carries OS/2 drivers and are doing some to help the linux community with drivers and such. My personal experiance with Nvidia cards hasn't been very good. In fact today I had a problem with a Geforce 2 mx400 causing sound problems because of some stupid direct3d issues (not my own system of course, somebody I was helping), though it's any evil integrated sound card so (but it's not the soundcard causing the problems).Anyway as my good bud hogan also pointed out, Supporting Canadian Companys is much good :)

nVidia won't fit in my case without some cutting for starters. Also.. I am a long time fan of ATI.

Nvidia has had a great past and my last two cards have been made by them. The GF3 in my gaming box now is still pretty decent. I can say this though, my next card (summer upgrade) will have ATi on it! I'll probably end up with a 9700 Pro because the 9800's will be a tad too much $$$ to waste on my gaming needs.

Yah.. like me for instance.. I'm throwing together an all new system and building it myself, my first one.
Got the new ThermalTake Xaser III case and plenty of kickin stuff inside. Money is never "waisted" on computers, just.. splurged :D

that is a great point PsychoCanuk
good word is Splurging

never ever use hte word wasted when it comes to computers

oh except when your willing to admit you made a mistake buying a certain piece of hardware

then again just write it off as experimental bad hardware testing

yeah thats a good idea

umm maybe just make better decisions
but hey you gootta start somewhere (I am obviously speaking from personal experiance)

Splurge!!! That about sums it up, now all I need is some money to splurge with! Hopefully I can save up some cash before fraga to get a new vid card. This thing I've got right now just isn't cutting it anymore.
Unless I can get grab that video card early bird draw ^_^

I wonder when they are drawing for the video card and CPU??

What exactly is the video card that is being drawn for??
Also.. check out this place in Ontario. They have cheap shipping and cheap hardware. Hint hint.. cheap Video cards too. The All in wonder 9700 Pro is the same price as local places are selling the ATI 9700 128MB Pro!

yeah good point

when they heck will the winner receive the card

would be ncie before the event unless waiting makes a difference as to what card you get
if a specific card is chosen already then the sooner we can get it the better

1/150 chance for a vid card is not to bad
I like those odds
