On the note about coolers; there should be no complaining when I or any staff members come through to check your coolers periodically throughout the event. It's a privilege and I personally do not want to catch anyone abusing the use of coolers. Other than that, enjoy the cold bawls or other caffeinated beverages!

checking for beer or stolen computer parts? and i'll be bringing this type of cooler. don't need anything too big and it has no drain plug

The liquorstore I worked at had a draw for one of these. Wish I had one, they go pretty fast, and still work as a cooler (just a little smaller as a small section is reserved for the electric motor.

My daughter has one of those cups that you can tip over and it doesn't spill. I'm going to reccomend one of those to people with drinking problems.

Will there be a seating chart that goes up before the event? As it stands right now 17 people in my group are prepaid and another 10 will be showing up early on Thursday to get seats with us. Being able to reserve our seats for the new venue would be really helpful!

Last I heard ther are going to look at it, and see about making a new one... if so they may look at seeing if they can migrate over the current reserved seating... but no promises on either.

Are you able to release a tournament schedule this week? I attend primarily to play in a tournament or two, and with the changed circumstances I would like figure out if I can still attend. Also thanks for those who recognize while my prior posts may have been somewhat negative towards great organizers who work hard and without pay, I am still entitled to express my opinions.

Rather then cause another flame war about something that could work with the proper level of care. I will post this.

Thank you Frag staff/volunteers for making this event possible. Even though I live in the south-west corner of Edmonton, I personally prefer Fort Sask because:

a) The Agricom area is sketchy as hell. If I want a midnight bite to eat I don't want to have to worry about some teenage thug wandering in from Beverly to shank me.
b) The venue looks nicer/newer than the SportEx last year which (hopefully) means quality air conditioning.

The feature of not having to smuggle in Mc Donalds or pizza in a backpack like last year and the ability for me to bring a cooler is a HUGE bonus. I'm personally bringing a tent/sleeping bag this year so I'm not concerned about leaving or having to commute back into the city.

Again, kudos for the hard work and effort.

Good point heh... I brought some dry ice for frag 07.. went through 2 bags actually... due tot he no cooler issue... I built a wood box with a metal surface on one side. and I put my drinks on that.. heh
